Welcome to our much-loved, annual children’s language competition which helps thousands of youngsters learn languages.
The 2019/20 competition has now launched and we’d love you to join in the fun!
The uTalk Junior Language Challenge is a UK-wide competition for primary school-age pupils aimed at showing children how easy and fun it can be to learn languages.
In return for a £5 entry fee, children are given access to the uTalk language learning app which helps them develop speaking and listening skills in other languages.
Since its launch in 2004 by language company uTalk, the uTalk JLC has helped more than 25,000 children learn languages ranging from Arabic to Zulu.
Competitors, teachers and parents at the 2017 final tell us just what it is they love about the uTalk Junior Language Challenge
Important news: following onebillion's amazing $5 million funding scoop, the uTalk JLC won't be supporting the charity for 2019/20.
